POOL BLOCKS All Seasons Algicide are a unique and highly effective long term water treatment with five slow release tablets in each 1.5 Kg container. The active algicide in POOL BLOCKS is a natural ionic copper salt which is chemically complexed to ensure the longest possible treatment period and avoid reactions with other chemicals. POOL BLOCKS contain a blend of food grade ingredients which make the active algicide highly effective at low concentrations so that when used to directions, they treat the water at less than the Australian Standard for Private Swimming Pools and also drinking standards.
 
POOL BLOCKS control all forms of green, mustard and black algae (blackspot) in all fibreglass, vinyl lined, tiled, painted and pebblecrete swimming pools. Once all algae is eliminated, less chlorine is needed to maintain sanitiser levels as the chlorine it is then free to perform it's principal task of killing bacteria. Salt water chlorinator and filtration running times can be reduced saving electricity as the pool stays sparkling all year round and all algae is eliminated even as chlorine levels fall. POOL BLOCKS store for years and only become active when dissolved in the water.
 
In an average 50,000 litre pool, add two (2) POOL BLOCKS to the skimmer basket followed by just one (1) per calendar month to provide long term protection. Our unique 'once a month' treatment provides a constant low level of algicide and is an excellent 'first step' in your pool care. In larger pools of 75,000 litres, simply add three (3) blocks initially followed by one (1) block every three weeks thereafter, or in smaller pools the individual tablets may be halved.    
 
The key to POOL BLOCKS is the constant low level of algae protection all year round acting as a 'first line of defence' against algae problems which can occur quickly in untreated pools. Chlorine is a short term treatment to kill bacteria and is lost within hours, leaving the pool prone to algae growth without the protection of a long term algicide treatment. Research shows that a low level of free chlorine is more effective in combination with an algicide, rather than relying on chorine alone. For best results, keep pool pH between 7.2 and 7.6, a simple task in fibreglass, vinyl and tiled pools where surfaces are pH neutral.
 

Pool Drops

POOL DROPS Plus Liquid Algicide are a 'double strength' long term liquid algicide which provide outstanding performance in all pools, especially those with alkaline surfaces. Simply pour POOL DROPS Plus directly around the outside edge of the pool for a highly effective long term treatment period of  an entire three months in an average 50,000 litre pool. This advanced liquid formulation eliminates all forms of free floating, wall based and black algae (eg. blackspot) and reduces chlorine demand allowing for reduced filtration and salt chlorinator running times. POOL DROPS Plus outperform all other liquid algicides as they contain more than twice the active ingredient of standard short term products.

The outstanding performance of POOL DROPS Plus over other liquid algicides is due to the potent 60g/L formula compared to just 25-30g/L of standard strength products. This concentrated formulation is specially formulated with a blend of complexing agents to create the most stable algicide possible and as a result is highly resistant to chlorine oxidiser, UV light, elevated water temperatures and high pH levels. POOL DROPS Plus are effective over the widest possible pH range of 7.2 up to 7.9 and perform very well in conditions where other products fail, such as pools with alkaline surfaces; concrete, pebblecrete and marblesheen. They work exceptionally well in all pools simply where a long term, 'once a season' application is preferred. They are an all seasons product; both an excellent winteriser in the non-swimming months and they excel as a chlorine saver in the summer as excess chlorine sanitiser, added to the pool or produced by salt chlorination, is not lost to algae control.

Simply pour POOL DROPS Plus around the deep end of your swimming pool and mark the date of application on the panel provided on the brochure to keep track of the treatment period. Looking after your pool could not be more simple. They also work well in spas, water features and fountains (they can be added by capful) for a long term algae treatment in many applications.
